WATER & FERTILIZER
Many orchids must dry
before watering again. A
few (see next page) need
more constant moisture.
Each time you water, use
orchid fertilizer at
quarter-strength.
REPOTTING
Every 1-2 years, orchids
need repotting in new
medium. Bark is the
standard because it is
difficult to overwater.
Moss also works but has
less margin for error.
HUMIDITY
Although many orchids
can survive low indoor
humidity, setting pots
atop a bed of moist
gravel raises humidity
and helps them thrive.
A daily misting is
beneficial as well.
